The purpose of this show is to promote beef breeding and raising by our youth and to provide them with an opportunity to show their animals.

This is an open show, open to anyone interested in promoting the beef industry.

Heifers will be shown by breed, only if there are at least 3 entries within that breed. To show by breed, animals must be accompanied by registration papers in accordance with breed association standards. Animals without papers will be shown as crossbreds.

Check in time will be May 8, 2011, 7-10 AM, no exceptions.
Showmanship show starts at 12:00.
Cattle will be shown by hip height. Calves must be born after 1/1/2010.

Class premiums will be determined by the number of entries.

PLEASE: No unethical grooming practices or pumping. Painting IS OK.

The Northern Panhandle Stockman’s Association, any member there of, nor the Marshall County Fair Board will be responsible for any accident or loss. You are expected to be responsible for your actions and your cattle.

A special class will be added for juniors from the Northern Panhandle of WV. This class will also include juniors who are exhibiting steers purchased from Northern Panhandle breeders.

The showmanship classes will be split into Juniors and Seniors determined by entries.

No bedding will be supplied. Generators are recommended.

Highland Enterprises and All Aluminum Show Equipment will be on the grounds.

No admittance to Fairgrounds before 6:00 AM show day without prior permission. All animals and exhibitors must leave the Fairgrounds by 8:00 PM show day.

 
The Blue Gold Show Down is sponsored by the Northern Panhandle Stockman’s Association, and is a non-profit event. The show is scheduled to be held May 8, 2011 at the Marshall County Fairgrounds, in Moundsville, WV.

We are looking for sponsors to help out this year. I am putting together a Show Guide this year to thank everyone that supports the show. We will be selling ads for a show guide at the following prices.

Business card ads will be $25.00.
Quarter page ads will be $40.00
Half page ads will cost $50.00
A whole page ad will be $75.00

The show will also be holding a silent auction and we will accept donations for that also.
