Grand Steer - 2009 Ohio Beef Expo |
Donor
303
Owned by: Keller & Jordan
Sire: Cunia Son
Dam: Simmental x Angus
DOB: 2003
303 is royally bred tracing back to Cunia on her sires side and Black Max on
her dam’s side. Her first A.I. calf was an absolute circus freak by Sunseeker
(pictured above), that was shown by the DeFrank family, who did an
outstanding job campaigning this steer to numerous championships on the
show circuit in Ohio, including Grand Champion Steer at the 2009 OH Beef Expo.
This cow’s upside potential for the production of big time show steers is unreal,
we will be intensively flushing her in 2009.

We purchased 42001 at the same time as we purchased 31959. They were hand

Donor:
323
Owned by: Keller & Wynne
Sire: Meyer 734
Dam: C339U x Angus
DOB: 2003
323 is another outstanding young Meyer 734 daughter that we were able
to secure from Ray Farms. As everyone knows Ray Farms spent millions of
dollars assembling the best individuals from top herds around the country.
We felt like this cow ranked near the very top of Ray's High Percentage Simmental females and that her unique combination of pedigree and build should be very well suited for the production of both clubcalves and Simmental breeding stock alike.
She is currently bred to Heat Wave to calve this spring.

Owned by: Keller, Jordan, & Wynne
Sire: Full Flush
Dam: Meyer 734
DOB: 2003
Tested TH & PHA Free
31959 is without a doubt the stoutest, best built Full Flush daughter I've
ever come across. She was originally a donor for Ray Farms, which we were
able to acquire after their liquidation. She's got the pieces to raise both big time steers and donor quality heifers alike. She's currently being intensively flushed.

We purchased the 65 donor from Ward Eckloff in the 2007 Holiday Classic sale.
She's another tremendous cow with an outcross pedigree. In her short time at

high sellers, including the $30,000 prospect pictured above shown to numerous championships in California by the Battaglia family.

We purchased this cow while out gathering calves in the fall of
